You could say that we were destined to meet.
When you look over the path my life has taken, the many different moves… from Oklahoma, Germany, Ft Benning, Columbus Ga. Had my Father not medically retired the year he did, opting to stay in Columbus, buying the house in one school zone, my brother getting a transfer to Columbus High School and me granted a hardship transfer. All of these steps so that as a freshman I would meet you in the library one day during lunch. Fast forward to my junior year, your senior year and we were in Chemistry class together, I eventually moved across the classroom to sit next to you, our friendship grew over the year.
You graduated that year, went off to college, my closest friend that I thought I might not see again. And yet after I was discharged from the Army due to injuries sustained during basic training, our paths crossed again and we picked up our friendship. It did not take long for our friendship to deepen. Eventually we began seeing each other, friendship growing into love, love into marriage. 32 years of marriage, 33 on March 21st this year.
